Today I made good use of my maternity leave and time between baby naps, its a different story that my laundry is not done and the house is a mess but got me some crafty time. And now that I am done I can scratch my head for some quick dinner recipes :).
So I did a complete 180 degrees on the wedding monogram card posted couple days ago and tried to come up with something different and outside my comfort zone when it comes to choosing colors.
My card base for this card measures 5 1/2" square. my second layer is 5 1/4" square, on this piece of cardstock I glued aluminum foil and embossed it with spellbinders M-Bossibilities EL-006. Then I cut out a window with spellbinders marvelous squares. I framed the window with 2 layers of marvelous square die set and rolled the top layer with a pencil to give a dimension to the card. Stamped the monogram with JustRite monogram stamps and bordered it with the Damask borders. to finish the card I added some rhinestones and pearls, colored the dots on the embossed layer with copic marker R89 and Voila..........
products used:
stamps: JustRite monogram and Damask Border stamps
Paper: Gina K. Designs
Accessories: Spellbinders M-Bossibilities EL-006 and marvelous squares, aluminum foil, 3D foam squares, want 2 scrap say it with pearls, crystal stickers, copic marker R89
Thanks for visiting........

DeleteI LOVE your use of aluminum foil -- SOOO CLEVER and very pretty effect with that EF!!! AND that darling idea to roll the frames open edges -- think I saw that done long ago & had forgotten -- MUST use this now that you've sparked that memory (TU!) with this all-around FABULOUS card!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your work. It's very creative, I can't imagine that's an aluminum foil. A little bit of Cheap rhinestones on the card, perfect!
