Happy Mistake.....

Today’s card was inspired by JustRite Friday Challenge #113, its been a while since I played along………A Very Happy New Year to all the crafters in JustRite land. When I read the details of the challenge it just interested me as I do not use lot of background stamps, so  thought it would be interesting to try something different in the beginning of a New Year. So here is my take and hope you like it.
I started with stamping the background stamp in yellow on a white cardstock and clear embossed it, used Momento London fog and inked the entire background image, I had to really rub the ink to get the look and color I wanted, I was reaching for a paper towel to rub the ink off the embossed area and instead I knocked the open bottle of the clear embossing powder on the image so now I had no open but to spread the embossing powder all over it and heat emboss it…………to my surprise I loved the way it turned out just gorgeous that’s where my title happy mistake comes from, I liked the look so much that I did not want to cover it at all so I tried to cover as little as possible. I don’t think anybody can resist putting pearls on the circles of the background image…….its impossible. Once my image was ready and how I wanted it, I trimmed it and layered on a yellow cardstock and then put it on a black card base. A simple and fun card to put together.

Products used:
Stamps: JustRite Moroccan lattice, grand sentiments
Accessories: momento inks, Gina K. Design cardstock, want 2 scrap pearls, yellow ribbon from my stash, spellbinders nobel rectangles.

I am entering this card in the following challenge:

  4. Lucky you! This is lovely, my mistakes only turn out to be mistakes! I laughed when I read about your accident, because I knocked over my white embossing powder. Most landed in my slipper before the bottle bounced off and rolled across the carpet! You got a beautiful b'ground, I got a MESS!
